For the next month and a half two friends of mine and I are going to stick with roughly the same work out schedules. We are already a week into it and man has it made a huge difference for me already having everything mapped out and knowing that two other people are right there with me. We don't let each other slack off on one day because if even one of us does the exercise that day, then screw a person that doesn't think they have to! Peer pressure - sometimes you can make it work toward the greater good!
Our schedule:
Monday - Rest Day. Which is today, thank god. My legs might fall off. I'll need today to try and super glue them back on.
Tuesday - 30 Day Shred Video
Wednesday - 30 Day Shred Video
Thursday - 30 Day Shred Video
Friday - Walk in College Place after work, 4 miles
Saturday - One Hour Misc. Exercise of our choice
Sunday - Walk at Rooks Park 9AM, 4 miles plus hill sprints. Afterwards, 30 Day Shred Video together. Then we all have a healthy lunch together to celebrate the week!
Then of course we have supplemental exercise on 30 Day Shred Video days. One of us does elliptical, one does more walking, and I have been trying to do either walking the dog or Dance Central. We all have goals set for Halloween, because the 30 Day Shred Video timing is set to hit our 30th day of doing it right on the 31st. My personal goal is to be able to do one push-up. That might sound like not a lot, but seriously, I have absolutely no upper body strength. I have never been able to do a full push-up or pull-up; my arms literally just give out. That's gunna change!
This schedule will also keep me held accountable once Tuesday at midnight rolls around and I get to jump into the glory that is Borderlands 2. No killing skags until I've done my exercise for the day!
Today, however, is Monday. Which is rest day. Which means I am going to nap like no one has ever napped before. It's good to have goals.

Is this the 30 Day Shred you're doing? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Pc-NizMgg8
ReplyDeleteI'm trying to push myself to exercise more on top of eating healthy but I'm just so tiiiired at night. Also, it's so easy to sit down and start sewing vs getting up and running
Yes! That's the one! I have the DVD for it. It only costs like, $5 on Amazon, lol. I am on Level 2 right now. I'm hoping to get to Level 3 in a couple weeks.
DeleteHave you tried working out in the mornings? If you set aside just the 20 minutes it takes to do this video before you get going in the morning, I promise you'll feel 1000x better during the rest of the day!
