Unfortunately, while those ended up looking super cool they don't actually fit in your ears. I either need longer posts, bigger chomp mouths, or bigger chomps in general. I shall continue working on it!
(Also, I would like to take back everything I said about those looking easy to make and them not being worth as much as the Etsy seller was asking.)
Then I decided to have some fun with buttons. When I was a little girl I remember crawling around the floor of department stores trying to find buttons that had fallen off of clothing for my button collection. So for Christmas one year my mom got me a sewing kit and she of course included a box full of glorious buttons, because my mom is awesome.
I really like how they turned out. Also not that easy to make! They look so simple but then you get to the part where you have to pull apart those rings and put them back together around the buttons / other rings and that's the part where you want to shoot yourself. Those things were jerks. I should have taken a picture of the large pile of deformed rings I had from messing up!
Anyway, right now I am experimenting with crafty things so that I can perhaps get something going for Extra Life donor incentives. I'm not sure the button earrings would tempt people so I'll probably greedily wear them all myself, but the process has definitely given me more ideas!
