Kangen SCAM. MAJOR SCAM.

Wow! Not one day after I put up my last blog post I got a comment on it from a Kangen representative telling me that their product is not a scam.

I'm sorry, but the fact that you have people scouring the internet looking to dispel all the rumors about your product just further indicates that you are running one hell of a scam.

I deleted the comment because I don't want them to propagate their ridiculous lies through my blog. I am just amazed that companies like this exist. I would liken it to the Cash for Gold scam.

Everything in their comment screamed "I have no idea what I'm talking about and am copying and pasting this from a script".

They went off about how bottled water is a scam and how my Mom was poisoning her body with it...um, pretty sure I didn't say anything about bottled water in my post. My Mom and I are both very much against bottled water. Just like we are against marketing scams.

If you want to drink fresh, good for you water: get a filter. Kangen water is just an expensive way to make ionized alkaline water. You can get it cheaper from anywhere else, it is the EXACT SAME water, and I doubt it will do much.

The best analogy I found for this crap comes from my Step-dad: It's like those old time fairs where a man would roll up his large cart that opened up into a stage. He would grab a tonic off the shelf and tell you all the wonders it would work for you. Yes, it "worked" on people, because in their minds they believed that the tonic was curing all their ailments when really it was just a random mixture of various tastes and liquids that did nothing at all.

That's what Kangen water is. A magic tonic that the company is trying to push on people with no chemistry knowledge is just wrong. I hope they never make it in the US and/or another product manages to buy out the Japanese government causing them to die a slow death.

Update 10:28AM: I can't believe these people! I'm leaving the comment from a new borg from Kangen water to show you how crazy this company and their representatives are. Now I've moved from thinking they are a scam to thinking they are an evil corporation bent on world domination by brainwashing people with their water machines. That is the only explanation I can find for a operation such as this. I LOVE that he assumes I did no research before coming to this conclusion. I am an educated person. I looked at all the evidence. You are running one hell of a scam.

4 bat-werds:

  1. Again, you are seriously pathetic in trying to convince me to do something I have done exactly. You think I just believed the first website I read?

I actually did research on your product. You are running a SCAM. Wake the hell up.

  2. Hi Ted,

You seem to at least be a somewhat intelligent person.

I am not interested in your product, and none of the materials I've seen have shown me any evidence that this water actually does what it claims.

I won't deny you that it might be healthier, but I think that can be said for any ionized alkaline water, and I don't believe for a second that Kangen water is worth the money they charge.

Thanks for posting something intelligent, rather than harassing me with ridiculous emails full of lies as one of your fellow Kangen water people has enjoyed doing. I appreciate a sound answer.

I wish you all the best in your research, and I agree that it needs to be looked into farther from a scientific research standpoint.

  4. Arg... I hate this snake oil MLM, I vow to twitter them down ... I see so many good people (older women) who buy into this crap ... altruism would dictate that they should give it away free for the good of the people, $4000 ~ give me a break.
